At this pace you should be cranking in to Capetown about the same time the 2015 C2C guys are hitting St Augustine.....and they won't be leaving San Diego for three more weeks!! A Suggestion to ward off the stone/stick throwing kids. Simply carry a bag of pennies and throw a few to the kids as you approach..then just ease on by as they fight with each other to pick them up. what the heck--just write it off as a contribution on your tax return--or just call it airborne foreign aid! If pennies alone dont work try interspersing nickels and dimes along with them--that'll really get them fighting! Nice work hitting 2K!
Congratulations on reaching your 2K milestone! You surely have endured a wide spectrum of experiences getting here. I very much enjoyed reading your daily journals; your narration style is a delight. Continue to stay at the head of the pack and as we say here in the Carolinas "keep on pounding"! Bert Gould
Congratulations!

Boy have you got a lot of fun ahead of you. By the time you are home you'll probably take up golf and give up biking.
